Get Fit Pod Episode 131 –The Destroy Camelback 131 Treadmill Workout – Designed specifically for the treadmill as part of Get Fit Pod’s Destroy Camelback Fitness Project.  High Intensity Interval Training at inclines of 1-6%.  The workout features 10 thirty second High Intensity Intervals with sixty second rest intervals in-between.  Coaching is provided by Get Fit Pod host, Skip Orem.  The workout has a motivational soundtrack with music by artists such as Steve Paroe, The Brew, Gerry Wall, Shayna Zaid and the Catch, and the Fire Apes.  Total workout time is 30 minutes.

Get Fit Pod #126 High Intensity “made to order” Interval Training Workou

Get Fit Pod #126 The Made to Order High Intensity Interval Training Workout 2.1 This HIIT Workout can be done with any cardio exercise you choose; walking, running, swimming, cycling, dancing, rowing, jumping, lifting weights, etc.  I can be done inside or out.  It can be done on the surface or on a machine such as a treadmill or cycling machine.

The workout consists of a warm-up, 13 intervals, and a cool down period.  Total workout time is approximately 22 minutes.  The 7 intensive intervals will be in your anaerobic heart rate zone, and you will recover with rest intervals in your aerobic zone.  The music is motivating and intense.  You will burn lots of calories and fat during the workout and you will continue to burn calories and fat as you recover from the workout later in the day.

I Need Your Help With Get Fit Pod Episode 126 (3/2/10) Fitness Wear- I’m in the process of producing content for the Get Fit Pod Fitness Wear Episode which will be released on March 2nd.  I need your help! I plan to focus on fitness wear for both the Summer and Winter seasons.  Get Fit Pod fans all over the world are experiencing one of these seasons throughout the year.  Here are some questions I hope you can help me answer;

1.  Road Warriors (the traveling kind) – I’m looking for a running shoe I can use temporarily when traveling.  Specifically, luggage friendly, meaning they will fit easily (not take up too much space) into carry on luggage.  The problem many of us have is that our favorite exercising shoes (mine are the Mizuno Wave Riders) are so “built- up” that they take up way too much space in the carry -on bag, or any other luggage for that matter.  Help me find exercise shoes that offer  some support and will not take up too much space.

2. Do you wear compression socks while exercising? What’s your favorite brand?  Do people actually wear them (over the calf) with  shorts.  What’s the benefits and downside of compression socks?

3.What is your favorite Spring and Fall outdoor exercising  gear? Sunny Days? Rainy Days?

4. What is your favorite pair of running shoes?  Cycling shoes? Trainers? Basketball Shoes? and why?

5. What’s your favorite sun protection lotion?

6.What extra lotions, etc. do you recommend for winter outdoor exercising.

7. When you look and feel your best at the gym or outside, what are you wearing?, brands, colors, fabric?

8. Hats?

9. Spandex?

10.  Tell me everything that you know about fitness ware?

Get Fit Pod #125 The iPhone Fitness Podcast Staying fit while you travel and on vacation, high intensity interval training, and fitness apps for the iPhone make up the content of this Get Fit Pod episode.  The episode contains three mini-workouts with music by; The Max The Letdown, Adam Ilami All The Things You Want, and Verona Red Stereo.  Most of this podcast was recorded using my iPhone as a microphone.  On this episode I will be discussing fitness apps available for the iPhone as well as looking at some other fun apps.  The episode was recorded using three different recording apps; iProRecorder, Recorder Pro and my favorite -iRecorder from Simple Touch.  I talk about the process of using these apps and recording with the iPhone right after the close of the episode, so keep the podcast running if you want to hear my rant.
